My Summer 2005 Anthem

Your Summer Anthem is Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani

So I'm ready to attack, gonna lead the pack
Gonna get a touchdown, gonna take you out
That's right, put your pom-poms down, getting everybody fired up

For you, summer is all about fun, friends, and a little girl fighting.

Chronicles of sleep

I have been the sleepy this whole week, so yesterday I decided to try and go to bed early for a change. I mean, after all for past few weeks, for one reason or another, I've been going to bed at around 2:00 a.m.
After declining 2 invitations to go out, 1 to go to the movies with my work buddies to see "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (AGAIN) and 1 to go out with a friend to see "Madagascar" (which I haven't seen), I got home at around 5:30 p.m. After playing my daily round of Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, I decided to take a little nap at 7:00 p.m.
Bomba and Pana were in bed with me, and while I struggled to go to sleep, they decided to play with me. Finally, at around 7:30 p.m. I caught some zzzz's. At 8:00 p.m. my brother Fabio came into my room and decided to spook the girls, who obviously jumped and made a racket, waking me up. The only thing I could mutter was a big fat COÑO (sorry for the language), and after my brother left (he was laughing his lungs out, that bastard!), I tried to go to sleep once more.
At around 9:00 p.m. my dad decided he was going to check out on me. He came into my room, got close to me and started this monologue:
Dad: "Are you sleeping?"
Me: *silence*
D: "Are you sleeping??" (in a higher voice)
M: *silence* (already up, but decided not to answer)
D: "Eny, are you sleeping???" (even higher)
M: *silence* (thinking how much longer will it take him to figure out I WAS SLEEPING).

Needless to say, I woke up and played another round of C&C, watched some TV and went to bed at 2:00 a.m.
I was talking to my sister this morning and told her the story, which hashappenedd before. She told me I have to lock my door, but it would be useless since I know they will start knocking on it or calling me on the phone.
I'm doomed.
I'm sooo sleepy today!

Urban Legends Reference Pages: Business (Tommy Rot)

I've received this email from a couple of friends saying that Tommy Hilfiger made a series of racial comments on Oprah's show and that she threw him out, and I decided to do a little online search. The answer: NOT TRUE.

Please guys, before forwarding any messages, do a background check...

Meme mine

So Annush decided to tag me again (this is getting funnier by the minute), but this time I will be kind and not tag anyone (seeing as none of the other people I tagged on the other meme did anything about it), so if you want to do this just go ahead and let me know about your post...

El Evangelio de Hoy

Evangelio Diario
Mt 8,23-27

Work work work...

Yeah, that's right.. I'm gonna get drunk!!!! It's been a while since I've ingested huge amounts of alcohol, but I really do need to blow off some stress, and what better way than while listening to a great dj by the sea, with a good drink in my hands...

Woo hoo! I've been tagged!

I had never before been tagged by a meme, but my dear friend Ana decided to play a joke on me and she tagged me. Now, it seems that people hate being tagged, so she thinks she played a trick on me. Little does she know I'm a sucker for these kinds of things, and eventhough I didn't even know what "being tagged by a meme" meant before she told she had been tagged, I'm looking forward to doing this.

The Meme: What five things do you miss about your childhood?

Rule #1: Remove the blog at #1 from the following list and bump every one up one place. Add your blog's name in the #5 spot. Link to each of the other blogs for the desired cross pollination effect.

1. It's the End Of The World As We Know It
2. More Than My Luggage
3. Welcome to My Truth
4. The Angel's Cloud
5. Bracuta

Rule #2: Select new friends to add to the pollen count.
1. Bau
2. Chelle
3. Reda
4. Gabs
5. Jamie Dawn (I'm sorry Jamie, I know you hate being tagged but Ana made me do it!)

And the answers are, in no particular order:

1. Not having to go to work.
I hate having to go to work. I detest having to go to work. I abhor having to go to work. I loathe having to go to work. Need I say more?

2. Summer vacations.
My parents worked very hard all throughout their lives, but they always loved traveling and whenever they had a chance they took us all away on vacation. Even when we didn't go away on vacation, the fact that I didn't have to go to school for 3 whole months was absolutely a blessing from God! Plus, I got to spend extra time with my family and I loved it!

3. Sleeping with my parents.
I was born when all my other siblings were teenagers, so I was always the baby in the house. This made my parents take extra special care of me and I was a conceited little brat. Yup, I have to admit it. I slept with my parents until I was 13, and I loved being hugged by them. Sometimes at night I go in their bedroom and lay on their bed when they're asleep, trying not to wake them up, and cuddle with them (for like 5 minutes; it's not as if I spend the whole night with them). I know it sounds weird, but what can I say, I'm a twenty eleven year old baby!

4. Being dragged along by my siblings.
Since I was the baby, my brothers and sister took me everywhere with them. My sister used to take me to the beach with her friends, my big brother took me to the baseball stadium with him and his girlfriend and my other brother took me everywhere with him. I also miss fighting with my brother Fabio on Saturdays. We both loved to watch wrestling matches, and while watching the TV we used to wrestle ourselves. I had so much fun when I was a kid!

5. Not having a worry in the world.
When I was a kid I didn't have to worry about my parents being sick, or paying my credit cards and bills, or paying my mortage (believe or not, I do own some real estate), buying clothes, or losing weight, or working or any of those things that come with being a grownup... I hate being a grownup! Back then all I had to do was get good grades and be a good friend, daughter and sister...
I don't want to grow up! I'm a Toys 'R Us kid!!!

Whatever happened to the five kids in the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"?

"Dear Yahoo!:
Whatever happened to the five kids in the movie 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'?
C.J.
Cincinnati, Ohio
Dear C.J.:
Well, Charlie inherited the business, and the rest of the characters were either sucked up tubes, shrunken down to microscopic size, blown up into giant blueberries, or thrown down egg chutes. As far as the actors go, we're happy to report they all escaped the chocolate factory unscathed."

Summer Moon Illusion

Summer Moon Illusion: "Step outside any evening at sunset and look around. You'll see a giant moon rising in the east. It looks like Earth's moon, round and cratered; the Man in the Moon is in his usual place. But something's wrong. This full moon is strangely inflated. It's huge!

Who invented the weekend?

I vote we work for 3 days and rest for 4...

¿Verano?
